Fishing...

Frost Pond's 198 acres is a spring fed brook trout haven; squaretails of 1 ½ pounds aren't uncommon.

A 3/4 mile trail, reached by boating across the pond, leads
to Little Frost Pond, where exceptionally deep waters can
yield some real beauties. We have a rental canoe and row boat at this location. There are a number of small ponds and brooks offering a variety of fishing opportunities for everyone.

The West Branch of the Penobscot River offers ten miles of
famous landlocked salmon fishing beginning only a short distance
from the camps. For those who bring their own boats, there
are several attractive lakes and large ponds a short distance
away.

We have canoes, kayaks and boats with outboard motors for rent on Frost Pond. You may bring your own boat, but it is a hand launch pond so you will have to carry it to put it in the pond.  There is not any back in boat launch on Frost Pond.

Non-resident and Resident fishing and hunting licenses are available at the office.
